| Meet Chris's mother, Anne Long, as she
relaxes in Painter's Field at Cactus Hill. In 2006 Anne moved from her home
in Austin to a wonderful assisted living facility not far from Cactus
Hill, where we can visit her often. In her 90s now, she is entering a whole
new phase of her life with her customary positive attitude. A graphics
designer, Anne turned her artistic talent to quilting in her later years,
producing many beautiful bed quilts and wall hangings. She loves fine art
and music, and she always loved to travel. Her last big trip was with us
on our September 1997 cruise to
Alaska. |
