Spot Ted Pup
1985-1999

Born on February 2, 1985, just a week after we moved to Cactus Hill, Spot was our pick of his litter. His mother, Sadie, belonged to friends in Austin. A month or so later Spot was ready to join us, and he was the main fixture of our critter contingent until March of 1999, when his very long and happy life finally ended. He's the only dog either of us has ever had from start to finish. Spot was our faithful, trusty friend.

Spot lived most of his life in the company of Shep, a year his junior. Several months after Shep died, Willie showed up to learn the ropes from Spot.
