Sunday, June 25: Emilie planned a family picnic at the base of the Crags, aptly named points in the Never Summer Mountains. There could be no more perfect place, nor a more perfect day, nor more perfect company. We drove from Walden in Clay's big van, all ten of us, climbing from Walden's 8,800-foot elevation up to the picnic site at over 10,000 feet.
