The Badlands warrants only one photo
because it was not our favorite attraction. Thanks to a bad
choice of route, we spent what seemed like forever on a
washboard dirt road. At one stop to take photos, Chris's
driver's license and debit card apparently slipped out of her
pocket, which definitely put a damper on the mood. We never did
actually make it into the national park (this photo is just
outside), but instead sought food and a phone as soon as
possible.
Badlands National Park is a fascinating
place, and quite beautiful in its own way. For those who are
