Behind Anne is the Mendenhall Glacier, about twelve miles outside Juneau. Mendenhall is billed as the world’s only drive-in glacier, because it feeds into Mendenhall Lake, which affords visitors the opportunity to view the glacier at fairly close range from the other side of the small lake.
