How faithful is Old Faithful? Its eruption intervals vary from 40 to 126 minutes, and it throws its water from 90 to 184 feet into the air for a period from 1˝ to 5 minutes. Rangers make careful records of each eruption and, using those numbers, can predict the next eruption within 10 minutes. |
