Yellowstone National Park: Mammoth Hot Springs
Our first destination on this day is Mammoth Hot Springs, at the north end of the park, where the travertine (calcium carbonate) in the water forms spectacular terraces. As the terraces grow and advance, they engulf everything in their path. |
